Updating Waste Management Along Hiking Trails in Mandi, India
March 2019 – May 2019
In a team of four WPI students and two Indian Institute of Technology students, we created a feasibility analysis for improving sanitation along hiking trails in Mandi, India. While in Mandi, our team handled recording equipment when speaking to locals and worked along side our IIT partners as they translated. We recorded the type and quantity of trash along three different hiking routes and worked along side Healing Himalayas to get a better grasp on currently implemented methods of sanitation.
